To our beautiful UK and Costa Rican Families, thank you for joining us at ToToBe Resort. We had the time of our lives with you ~ surfing, kayaking in the mangroves, bush crafting, survival skills, coconut bowling and to wrap everything up, last nights fiesta was super fun :)

Good Day Beach Buds, Ingo and I are offering an Ocean Safety Training Session on Valentines Day, Feb. 14 at 3:00pm, as a heartfelt gift to help keep all of our ...friends safe while they are enjoying our beautiful beaches. Please pass this information on to all of our mutual friends and to whomever else you wish, and feel free to invite anybody else that could benefit from this learning session. We see this as a bit of a "symposium", we are learning every day, and we welcome input from anybody in attendance. Please feel free to share your knowledge about ocean currents and any personal experiences you might have had with rip currents. We will meet at the beach access road beside ToToBe, the last beach access road before the San Miguel River Estuary. If you miss ToToBe and drive too far you will come to the river estuary; turn around and drive back, we are the 4th property, 2 houses with a swimming pool, beside the beach access road. If there is no room to park on the beach access road please park at the estuary and walk back to ToToBe. We will teach about rip currents: how they form, how to recognize them, how to avoid them, how to get out of a rip current if you find yourself in one, and how to access and understand tide tables and swell reports, to better plan when you might want to spend some time in the ocean, and when you should stay out of the water. For those of you who are interested we will also do a practical ocean swimming lesson on how to enter the ocean to avoid potential mishaps with sea life, how to swim out of a rip, and how to keep yourself safe while enjoying the beauty and the energy of the sea. This will be a group exercise, where we simulate some of the situations we could find ourselves in, and then react to get out of that situation. Bring your boogie boards / body boards with leashes if you have them. The swell forecast is small to medium for Feb. 14 so it will be a great opportunity to learn about ocean currents in a forgiving environment. We encourage as many locals as possible to join us for this safety training session. We would like to ask multilingual participants to interpret for anybody who does not understand English. Many of you have taken this ocean safety training lesson with us, but it doesn't hurt to hear it again and get out there and practice with us. Let's take this information and pass it along to as many people as possible, to minimise the possibility of accidents on our beautiful beaches in the future. To respect the guests at ToToBe, please meet us on the beach access road and we will proceed from there to the ocean. We will not actually be going on to the property. Have a great day and see you soon. Your beach buds, Connie and Ingo Wild By Nature Adventures

ALERTA.
