We have brought these in from our friends butcher shop in Whitecourt AB, North Country Market! Amazing people, amazing product 5 Tomahawks French Cut (bone cleared) $55/lb 5 Tomahawks w/ rib meat $48/lb 12 Ribeye Boneless Steaks $55/lb 7 Packs of 4 Wagyu Patties ($20/package) These will need to be barbecued on low heat and should be served as medium-rare to medium to get the real Wagyu experience. My name is Olive Wilhauk, and I own my own business called Olive The Sugar! I have baked 618 cookies for my parents who own Wilhauk Beef Jerky in Spruce Grove. I have had this business for a little bit more than 2 years and want to continue it! I have baked cakes, cupcakes, and loaves. ... And of course cookies! It has taken me a total of 2 weeks to bake these after school and on the weekends, more than 20 bags of powdered sugar, and a continuously replayed 14hr music playlist to get me through all these cookies! I have run out of eggs, vanilla, flour, sprinkles, and other essential ingredients many times because I’m not so good at math! My icing bags have exploded all over me more than once and my voice was scratchy from singing for so long. My Mom ordered these cookies to sell with the shops Valentine’s Day Packages, and a few extra to just sell at the front counter. They are not gluten free, sorry! It took me a long while to make the icing look nice and I am still learning. My Mom gives me useful tips and there are countless people to thank that got me where I am right now. I deeply appreciate every one of you. ~ Olive Wilhauk Notes from Mom: It makes me giggle when she wrote...my Mom gives me useful tips. The tip was...That looks terrible and it’s not sellable. Fix it. It’s hard being my daughter some days...I have super high expectations of her but she seems to constantly show me she can go higher than the bar I set. She quickly learned how to do quantity math better when I started charging her $5 each time I had to take her back to the grocery store! She shops for all her own ingredients...I am just the taxi service Olive The Sugar does not have a social media page but you can often find her cookies in our storefront. We think this 14 year old entrepreneur of ours is pretty amazing. She worked soooooo hard to get these done on her own this year! Day #10 Giving Back: CHEETO!! Puppies and kitties...there is nothing truer in this world then the love of a pet On Father’s Day of this year we added two baby white Labradors to our household...and ohmyeverlovinggoodness have they ever added another whole new dimension of love into our life!!! ... They are so amazing and we couldn’t imagine life without them Gets you thinking about all the pets out there in our city We contacted the Owner and Veterinarian at Meridian Veterinary Clinic in Stony Plain AB to see if there was perhaps a family in their database that needed some financial help with a medical procedure for their pet? They took a few days to talk about it with their staff...and then they called back!! Cheeto!! He is 13 years old now and so sweet...and so handsome He has been inflicting self trauma because of the pain he has been in, and has been on daily pain meds waiting until his family could save up enough money for this operation. Feline Ordontoclastic Resorptive Lesions (FLOLS). Basically, his gums are reabsorbing his teeth. It’s not genetic, it’s not because of poor food choices...it just sometimes happens. Today he was all fixed up in a 2 hour procedure that included X-rays, anesthesia, and extractions. Cheeto is now at home resting with his family. Paw prints on our hearts We don’t know who Cheeto’s family is but we sure hope you have many more years with your baby boy Let’s fill these comments with cute doggies and kitties and horses and pigs and your pet chickens!! Day #9 of Giving Back: Mohammed The last time he saw his daughter was seven years ago. She is 11 years old and lives in Eritrea (formerly known as Ethiopia).... Her name is Samira Her Dad has been living and working here in Canadajust so that he can send money home to her. We went to Superstore here in Spruce Grove determined to find a frontline worker. You know. The guys that are wiping down your shopping carts, offering you hand sanitizer, stocking shelves, and cleaning floors. The ones dealing with customers all day. For months we have all been noticing them. You know what? This is a hard freaking job! Stress and tempers are at a all time high right now. We talked to the management at Superstore and a few other employees about Mohammedand they were so excited we might focus a day on him!! He is the hardest worker! He deserves so much! He is so friendly! He will do anything for anyone! He works such long hours! He sends all of his money home to his daughter! Always has a smile on! He’s a good guy. After talking with Mohammed it became apparent how much he misses Simara. He pulls up a picture on his cell phone and proudly tells us that he bought all of the clothes that she is wearing in this photograph Mohammed used to be a professional soccer player and served in his home country’s National Military Service. His Dad passed away when he was only 2 years old, his Mom raised him and his 3 siblings alone. They are spread all over the world now and will likely never see each other again. For the love. Today we gifted him a gift card to Mark’s so that he HAS to spend some money on himself and we picked up some hoodies and treats for him to send to Samira. We tucked a substantial amount of cash into an envelope for him to help pay for her schooling. We know that he can choose to spend this cash anywherebut if you are willing to live here in our country, alone, and work 12-18 hours per day at three different jobs just to help support her at home, we hope this helps. You are working so hard to provide for her and we think you are doing an incredible job of this. SMOKEDPULLEDPORK!!! We have changed up the recipe a bit...now it tastes exactly like our beef jerky!!! I tell all the Moms that come into the store...this is the best deal in the whole shop!!... Dinner time, so easy Seasoned with our beef jerky spice, smoked for 12 hours, pulled apart by Hazen lol, cooled in the fridge, packaged into 1lb bags. All you need to do is gently warm it up in the frying pan and hope your kids don’t eat it all before it gets to the table lol! Meet our newest product obsession!!! During the online support local campaigns I came across a pickling business. What really grabbed my attention was their business name lol Get Canned! ... Seriously, it made me laugh and then made me start looking into her canning products. I called Lorissa and asked her what her top selling products were...pickled pepperoni and pickled sausage. Ugh. Really? Sounds a bit disgusting, no? Pickled meat?!?! Ok, we will give it a try but we will need you to use our sausage and pepperoni. My Father In Law will kill me lol if I start selling some other guys meat!! Fast forward a few months and we are all obsessed with all of her jars!! Every one tastes absolutely perfect. And...the meat jars are NOT soggy meat pieces like I thought lol, they still have the normal snap to it and are so delicious Do you like spicy?!?! Ah!!! She’s nailed the hot jars!! Day #6 of Giving Back: We love your Christmas spirit!! One of the children in this photograph experienced a significant loss this week. Absolutely, heartbreaking and life changing.... And you know what? She still wanted to get out with our children this evening to see all the Christmas lights in our communities! It’s ready!! 9 days to season and cure...and 16 hours in the smoker!! The best way to heat this up is to steam it . Warming it in the oven will also work.... Serve with mustard and provolone cheese on rye bread. I’m not drooling, you are!!
