Hey folks! Thank you for an incredible and unforgettable summer season, we are so fortunate for the opportunity to continue serving you. With the start of September just around the corner, our small staff will be taking some time for rest and relaxation. Its time for us to catch our breaths, refocus our energies into bringing our food menu back! We cant wait to share with you guys what weve been working on these last few months!

The ultimate throwback Thursday part 2! For the following two months, we set about doing the renovations and work ourselves. All the late hours, sleepless nights, scrapes, bruises, paint covered clothes were worth it to be able to open our doors again. @ Wizards & Bad Witch Bakery

Its time for the ultimate throwback Thursday! It was late March, and we were in the beginning of the lockdown. Quinn and I were waking up at 6 am to prep cheesecakes for delivery, driving between Lakeshore to Lasalle from 11-2 doing deliveries, and then back to Wizards to make more cheesecakes for the next days orders. We were burning ourselves out fast, and our location just wasnt designed with the influx of orders we were dealing with. We knew we needed a fresh start, a... new location to help transition us into what would better serve us. Everyone told me to practice patience and that when the right place became available, we would decide then. As we were driving back from deliveries one Sunday, I screeched my car to a halt outside of 900 Erie Street East. We knew we were already home, and we knew we were crazy to begin a new-ish business venture in the midst of a pandemic. Important Update: while we understand everyones excitement to enter Stage 3 - at this time we will not be offering dine in services and continue with our patio seating and takeout options. The health and safety of our patrons and staff come as our first priority, and we are still working at finding a way to effectively serve you indoors without sacrificing the safety of our employees. The first time I met Quinn, I spent an evening at a party listening to her talking about how much she loved yeast. Within a year of working together, we were working hard at expanding our baking menu at Wizards despite our limited counter space. In February, I found a used display fridge that would require us to destroy our counter. When others wared caution, Quinn showed up with her father and a chainsaw. In March, when I told her I found a new location that would allow us... to refocus and expand our baking capabilities...but it would require a lot of work before we could be ready to reopen. So again, Quinn showed up with her father, a van, and a slew of equipment and we set about working tirelessly the following two months to bring together a new vision of what we wanted Wizards and Bad Witch to become. Quinn has blossomed from the girl at a party talking about yeast, to an employee who was terrified of serving customers - to this determined, confident, strong best friend and sister who leads with that same passion, and a newfound sense of pride and love when talking to our beloved customers.
