With great success, the 13th annual Denny’s Kick Butt Walk for Colorectal Cancer took place this year with folks walking in their own neighbourhoods and local parks. Western is a proud sponsor of the event and provided a prize for the person who raised the most donations by one individual. The event this year to date has raised $10,000 and will continue to be collected during the remainder of 2020. Wyatt Dowling Insurance & Western Financial Group branches were pleased to be able to donate $1000 to the local food bank - Agape Table in Winnipeg. Dave Finiuk, General Manager of Agape Table, provided our folks with a tour of their facilities and showed them how they have amended their processes to handle the COVID-19 pandemic. Dave mentioned that prior to the pandemic, Agape Table fed 200-300 people daily but is now seeing up to 500 people. These funds were made available through the Western Communities Foundation Community Food & Nutrition Program. #WesternGives
