It's Trans awareness week, and to help celebrate and honour our amazing Trans family in Toronto and across the globe we created this playlist.

Today is Trans Day of Remembrance and we'd like to honour and celebrate the brave trailblazers, those we lost this year and the amazing folks who continue to live and fight through harmful adversities today. We asked Toronto Trans writer, speaker/educator & artist Robbie Ahmed to elaborate on a post he made online about supporting trans lives beyond sharing on social media and we're so thankful he did.

Who would be your ride or die if you had the freedom to create and tour for a year with a drag duo act? Your best friend? a Frenemy? A performer with a complimentary set of skills? Toronto drag performers let us know who their stage Judy would be...

Every weekend for the month of October we’ll be posting a cool moment from our community to celebrate #LGBTQHistoryMonth! (They are gathered by writer, yohomo contributor and queer history enthusiast JP Laroque!) What better way to start off this spooooooooky month of Queer History than by reflecting on Halloween celebrations of the past! Despite occurring during a more conservative era in a notoriously conservative town, drag balls were one of the few large scale public ...queer gatherings held in Toronto from the late fifties through to the seventies first starting down on King Street by the Letros and King Edward Hotel and later migrating north to the St. Charles Tavern on Yonge Street (near Carlton). Whereas early the early events were actually celebratory, showcasing cooperation between citizens, police, and members of the community, they gradually became associated with violence and harassment, as crowds from the suburbs would gather along the sidewalk to throw eggs, hassle the queens and bash bar patrons. In the late seventies, cooperation between activists within the LGBTQ community and the Toronto police led to a dispersal of these crowds, and the ball was moved east to Church Street, evolving into the annual Halloween celebration we have today! (Lesson: Tip your queens. They've earned it.) Photo Credit: Gerald Hannon, 1979, CLGA Collection (1990-002-08P(01))

Surprise! We asked some of our favourite Toronto drag artists some very serious questions while living in their bubbles. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll learn, you'll love. We hope you love this video series as much as we do. What if you had a limitless budget and full creative control to create your very own drag competition and challenge? We asked a panel of drag experts about what they would do.
