Good Morning Cake Fans and Happy New Years Eve!! I know many of you are happily bidding farewell to this year and preparing for your at home celebrations right now, but I just wanted to pop onto your news feeds quickly to wish you a happy, healthy, prosperous new year! I want to thank you once again for the support you've given me this year and will hopefully continue to give into the next <3... I also wanted to share that last cake I created for 2020, the one I promised you was an amazing one?? This is it. Sweet Ivy's whole hand birthday celebration cake folks. Never in my whole life have I been as cool as this 5 year old is and continues to be. I've been making Ivy's cakes since I can remember, and each year they get better and better and I am just amazed at what a wonderful human she continues to become <3 Ivy is a rocker. Who can blame her really? It's definitely my music of choice And her mama tasked me with incorporating Joan Jett, who is of course Ivy's favourite *swoon* From the reactions of both the birthday girl and mama I think I accomplished the task <3 See you in the new year everyone! Happy Wednesday! Just a booking update post today!! I am currently booking into the end of February, beginning of March and beyond! Yes, this means that January is full, even for "small cake orders"... I know it's hard to understand the process when you don't specialize in something, but know that small cakes take just as long, if not longer sometimes than larger cakes. Larger cakes are in fact most of the time easier because there is more cake to work with and I can fit all of your ideas more easily on them. Small cakes take time to condense everything you want on them, most of the time we need to omit things you wanted so they don't look squished, and a lot of the time we just can't do the same idea, we have to completely overhaul the idea when you really wanted that 3 tier cake, but now only need to feed 6 :) The fact is, no cake is too small to get the attention it deserves, and I hate rushing anything, so I can't start squishing in cakes now. I hope everyone understands <3 For anyone who needs to reschedule their cakes due to photoshoots, etc, just let me know ASAP and we can do that no problem. For completely cancelled shoots, we can apply your cake credit to any upcoming order you place! Those with existing credits, you are still on file and your credits are good into next year, whenever you decide on a new date <3 Moving on to one of my exciting Christmas orders!!! National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is a must see around here for me, so I was SUPER excited to get this order! My client was beyond thrilled and even sent a later message saying how much her hubs loved them too! I was so so happy with this one!! xoxo

Good Morning Cake Fans! And Happy Monday? I think? Haha The days after Christmas until New Years are always such a blur aren't they? I want to take this opportunity to send good wishes, thoughts, love, air hugs, all the things to all of you, every single one of you that have supported my little business this year.... I completed my last cake of the year (it's an amazing one guys!) late last night and it has me thinking how lucky I am to have all of you with me right now. This year has been so tough for so, so, soooo many and I feel for those struggling every single day. We have built such a wonderfully supportive community here over the past 7 years and so many of you have become friends really, and it is such a pleasure and honour to have your support during such a trying time. Today's picture isn't of one of your wonderfully planned creations, but one of my wonderfully feral children that many of you have had the questionable pleasure of meeting at some point as the door opens and one of them escapes down the road. I swear, I'm not THAT hard to live with, but they are just truly caged animals haha. This year could have been much worse for them. They could have seen their mama's dreams break under the insurmountable pressure of the pandemic. But they didn't. They could have gone without many basics. But they didn't. They could have had a scarce Christmas. But they didn't. They didn't because of you. All of you. All of you wonderfully amazing people who continue to stand by me through thick and thin, trust me day after day, have undying support of me, and also bring me fabulous lattes just because. YOU are why I am still here, and don't think for a second I don't know that every single day. I am beyond grateful for all of you, for the friendships I have gained, the children who hold me on pedestals, the challenges you bring to me and I have so much joy creating. You are why my wild children and I are getting through this and will continue to get through this and for that, I am eternally grateful <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 xoxoxo I wish all of you peace, love, light, health and wellness as we head into the new year. Yes, it seems it will be more of the same this one brought, but we will be there, together, always <3
