Just a quick note to start today off... Yes we are open, but no the dining room is not. Given the layout of our dining room, we don't feel comfortable opening it back up just yet, it is narrow and to keep my family and your family safe, we're sticking to take out. Hope to see you this weekend, we're here today, tomorrow and Saturday from 3-7pm

So today's the day we move to stage 3... restaurant dining rooms are allowed to open... Having said that, we will not be opening our dining room any time soon... Given the narrow width and physical distancing requirements that must still be followed, out of 11 booths and tables, we would only be able to use 2 maybe 3 of the booths... We will continue to monitor and reassess each week until we feel it is safe for both my family and yours to comfortably eat in the restaurant... again... We will still be open for take out, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 3-7pm.

After this morning's provincial update, we will be switching to take out only. Our dining room will be closed to allow for essential social distancing. We would urge everyone to call ahead with your order, and we can help space out pick up times to keep up with social d...istancing for everyone's safety. Yes, you yourself may not feel or present any symptoms, but any one of us can be a carrier and we must do what we can to prevent passing this virus to the elderly and those with weakened immune systems. It's snowing outside... beautiful winter day... the construction crew has tents up as they work away... we're lucky, being inside the warm dining room and cooking up the best fish and chips... once again, we're here from 11-7:30pm

They're getting closer and closer to being finished this gas line replacement... As usual we're open for business, here from 11-7:30pm to serve all our fantastic menu selections... Please don't let a bit of dust, dirt and noise stop you from coming downtown!!

I want to talk about our downtown for a minute. Were starting down a long road of construction and I just want to take a minute to remind folks that a small bi...t of extra effort on their part to continue to support their downtown, even in times of inconvenience, is really going to matter. A lot. Will parking be a nightmare? Yep. Will business access at times be dicey? You bet. But if you still want your downtown to be there when construction is over, you have to find your way to your favourite stores anyway. Maybe parking a few blocks away and walking in, or being dropped off and picked up. Business that can, will be opening up rear access to their buildings, parking will continue to be an issue though. I understand that inconvenience is, well, inconvenient. I just hope folks take a minute to really consider that if you abandon your downtown for the duration of the construction there wont be much left when its finally done. Also, while social media support is fantastic, really, we love that, ultimately if youre not down here making purchases, its moot. Its all just starting so lets take it upon ourselves to make sure we still have a downtown when its over. See more

Well I can happily say I'm not the only one at work today... Construction crew is here working away to get things finished as soon as they can... Why not stop in for some fish & chips? Well it's not perfect given the road is closed for gas line upgrades and the beginning of Kent St. Reconstruction, but the best news is the sidewalks are still open which means we are as well!!!! Even though we're about to close for the night, we still do our best to maintain the sidewalk for our customers and the safety of the public, no matter what the weather brings us!!!
