Thank you to Tim Chrissley who sent us some pictures from his visit to the gallery earlier this month.
They are much more comfortable than they look!
Remember Rufaro Ngoma's Little and Learning? Well she now belongs to a client in Toronto. We did the draw on the last day the gallery was open. Thank you to everyone who participated. We're thrilled to tell you $1880 was raised towards the drilled well and solar pump at Maori Primary School in Zimbabwe. (We'll be posting pics from the school in a couple of days.)
Want to find out how to win this sculpture, Little and Learning by Rufaro Ngoma, and support the drilling of a well at Maori Primary School in Zimbabwe? Visit the gallery before we close on Thanksgiving Monday. We are open daily, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. until then. No appointment needed.
We are now closed for the season but we still love to get photos from our clients to share on social media. Letwin Mugavazi, ZimArt's 2011 Artist-in-Residence, is the creator of The Power of Woman, which just found a new home in a Toronto garden.
It's going to be a beautiful weekend! On Sunday we will selling Zimbabwean crafts with all the proceeds going to ZimKids. This year we are raising funds for a well and solar pump at Maori Primary School.
We are thrilled to see the students were able to complete their sculptures - despite COVID. Great work ladies.
Patrick (Sephani) returned to Vancouver yesterday. We miss him already! Patrick was such a great member of ZimArt's 2020 team. Fortunately he has left a permanent creative reminder of his visit in our Mini-Zimbabwe dry stone wall. And who will every forget that megawatt smile! We are still open daily 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. until Thanksgiving.
We were thrilled to host The Honourable Elizabeth Dowdeswell at the Gallery on Tuesday!
We have had many more young visitors this year than previously. Unfortunately, new public health norms mean there's a "no touching" rule, but that doesn't stop creative little art lovers from interacting with the sculptures. These pics, taken by her grandma, tell the story. We'll remember her visit for a long time!
We love being described as the most magical destination in Ontario! Doesn't get much better than that. Thank you JimByersTravel
Walter Mariga's stunning sculpture, Love Story, has moved from the Gallery to another beautiful country home. This time the move is permanent!
Herma's Fine Foods is a fabulous destination on Highway 28. Not only are the foods more than fine, there's a large selection of culinary items and other gems. Herma, the mastermind behind this specialty store, loves collaborating with other local businesses. Thanks so much Herma for your blog Get Your kicks On Highway 28 https://hermas.ca/get-your-kicks-on-highway-28/
From one little angel to another! What a great way to introduce children to art.
It was magical!
