The three charities for our TUESDAY September 3rd meeting are: Greater Durham Special Olympics Durham Falcons Softball Team The Greater Durham Community of Special Olympics Ontario has more than three hundred and fifty registered athletes and over one hundred volunteers. The Durham Falcons Softball team has qualified for National Championships.... St. Vincent De Paul Community Care Our volunteers seek people in need, wherever they live - in their homes, on the street, in shelters, in hospital or in prison. The activity of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul is always based on love of neighbour in the local community. Volunteers work in their own area, and respond to local needs. Cystic Fibrosis Canada Cystic Fibrosis Canada’s mission is to help people with cystic fibrosis (CF). Cystic Fibrosis Canada funds research towards the goal of a cure or control for cystic fibrosis, supports high quality CF care, promotes public awareness of cystic fibrosis, and raises and allocates funds for these purposes.
