No matter where you find yourself create stability by acting justly.
It's unlikely that this post will be read by a king or queen, yet it's still applicable to our lives. If you're involved in any form of leadership, mom or dad, foreman or lead hand, politician, chairman of a board, a pastor, or a hockey coach. There will be moments when you need to make tough decisions. In those moments will you lead with justice or with selfish motives? To "extract gifts" basically means you're the one who's going to benefit. It's always about you. To lead "by justice" is to lead selflessly with the end in mind. There's a cost to that. As any parent knows leading with the end in mind is not very popular. However when you truly care for those under your care you will do your best to keep them from harming themselves. According to this verse selfish leadership tears down what was once strong.
Be careful when you find God is always on your side. @cclf108

Matthew 5:17-20 is a sobering set of verses. You can't just simply say "do whatever you want, it's all good" because obviously it's not all good. Fortunately for us Jesus has fulfilled the law. And through him we can live in righteousness
Lights are incredible useful. But not so useful when they're in your eyes. Matthew 5:14-16 says when light is aligned properly it will help others to see. #illuminate #bright #shine #lightthepath #light
You are a light! Did you know that? Lights can be ether incredibly useful or annoying. Have you ever seen oncoming vehicles with badly adjusted headlights. That's super annoying and it only benefits one person. If it was adjusted properly it would benefit the driver even more and also help those around them. That's like the light Jesus calls us to shine. According to vs 16 we are to shine this light in the good we do for others. Thinking of them and selflessly caring for them.
Do not lose your flavor. Continue to add flavor to your community by carrying for them and blessing them. Matthew 5:13
