Just back home from a volunteer trip and received such a beautiful letter from one of the kind hearted beneficiary. What a friitful trip! "My name is Yousuf . I am from lakelouise. I want to say thank you verymuch for helping us. Ethio care is doing an excellent job. In this hard situation you drive more than 200 km and bring everything we need. #EthioCare is receives support for its food hamper programme from the Minister of Community and Social Services. Today we have been to the office Honourable Rajan Sawhney to collect some gift cards and meet her. Unfortunately we were unable to meet her as she was in another meeting but received gift cards that worths $500 inaddition to our previous project. EthioCare leaders and coordinators Mr. Bekele Hankebo and Mr. Michael Tefera spoke to the family of EthioCare from the office of her excellency honourable #Rajan #Sawhney in Calgary.

I don’t know how we got so lucky but we sure do appreciate it I had the good fortune to meet Bekele Hankebo & some of his team this year. They have been supporting the Ethiopian community in a huge way throughout the pandemic. Delivering food hampers, prepared food, laptops & ...more. In Calgary, the Ethiopian community has been hit particularly hard, first, with a large number of community members who worked at the meat packing plants where covid outbreaks happened early on in Alberta. Yesterday our Youth Council put together 300 kits that will keep Calgary kids busy in the last weeks of summer. Thanks to Dashmesh Culture Centre Gurdwara Sahib... Calgary for distributing the kits to families through their food bank program and to Volly - Volunteering made easy. for lending their helping hands! Youth Council introduces young Calgarians to current issues facing our communities. This program infuses fresh ideas and new voices into our work.
