I first saw this woman in court, testifying against the man who tried to take her life. She seemed both terrified and fearless at the same time. And her mother - her mother is an absolute real life superhero. Months later, I read an article where she stated that when she looks in the mirror now, she doesn’t recognize the person she sees. This painting I’ve done is, I would imagine, as close to the mirrors reflection as it gets. Showing the heart tattoo as it would be seen in a mirror. I hope you all see what I see; a woman to admire.
