Break in and thefts in Shaunavon At around 2 a.m. on March 8, Shaunavon RCMP were called to a break and enter in progress alarm at the Overtime Restaurant and Sports Lounge located on 3rd Avenue West in Shaunavon. Police attended and found the rear door had been forced open and entry had been gained to the business. Footage from the business revealed a single adult male entering the building wearing a distinctive two tone coloured windbreaker style jacket with the words "Sto...mpdown" on the back. A 2000 Volvo stationwagon car with Alberta plates was located in the rear alley which was later reported stolen out of the nearby town of Gull Lake. The vacant vehicle was towed and secured in the local towing compound of A&B Auto located on Highway 37 in Shaunavon. Later that night, it is believed the same subject scaled the fence to the tow yard and stole a 2006 Pontiac G5 car from the locked compound after damaging the fence. This vehicle has since been recovered in Rocky Mountain House, Alta. Shaunavon RCMP are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the subject or any other information which may assist in the investigation.
