If you asked any essential workers at YYC what they ate at the beginning of the pandemic, they'll likely tell you it was pizza from Bistro on the Bow. Chris and his team at Bistro worked hard to make sure frontline workers had access to delicious comfort food at a discounted rate. "We delivered food to staff around the airport, and offered fully cooked meals for pick up. We also gave staff 50 per cent off pizza." Bistro on the Bow has remained open throughout the pandemic ...and has worked hard to safely provide food for those who need to be at YYC. The team at U.S. Customs and Border Patrol, was so grateful for their delicious food and excellent service, they presented the folks at Bistro on the Bow with a framed gift. Nous avons livré des plats à des employés dans tout l’aéroport et proposé des repas prêts à manger pour emporter. Nous avons aussi accordé une réduction de 50 pour cent sur le prix de la pizza. Bistro on the Bow, qui est resté ouvert pendant toute la pandémie, a redoublé d’efforts pour procurer de la nourriture d’une manière sécuritaire à ceux qui devaient se trouver à YYC. L’équipe des services de douane et du contrôle frontalier des États-Unis était tellement reconnaissante pour la nourriture délicieuse et l’excellent service qu’elle a remis à l’équipe du Bistro on the Bow un souvenir encadré. Today, we pause to reflect and remember the personal sacrifices made for our country. We owe an endless debt to our veterans, to the fallen, and to the families who love them. While we usually do this gathered as an airport community, this year we stay safely distanced but still forever grateful as we take the time to think about and thank those who have sacrificed so much for our freedom.
