My deepest condolences to the family of Fred Sasakamoose, who passed away earlier today. Fred was the first First Nations NHL player from Saskatchewan and a great grassroots guy. His passion for sport and family is something I deeply admire. Rest In Peace, Fred.

We thank everyone for your kindness and support as we achieve the wonderful threshold of 700 Followers. In History Alive we hope to celebrate the lives, the beliefs, and the enthusiasm of all Indigenous Persons those who reside in their First Nations as well as all who explore opportunities while remaining committed to their aboriginal heritage.
