Forestburg Swimming Pool Association is currently seeking energetic and qualified applicants for the 2020 pool season. May 1 to Sept 1. Due to unforseen circumstances with our pool basin, the pool will not be able to open for the 2020 season. Thanks to the contribution from the Canada Summer Jobs Grant we are able to employ guards to address some long overdue maintenance concerns. They will be working to improve our building for future years.

Great news, everyone! Forestburg Swimming Pool is planning to re-open for the beginning of August! We are aware that our services will be open much later than others, but this is due to some much needed updating of our facility. We will be installing a new liner for the pool, which will prolong our opening. We will update the public with our schedule, lessons, COVID-19 policies, and more in a few short weeks. Thank you to everyone who has shown interest in our 2020 season, and we hope to see you all soon!

Hi everyone! Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic we do not anticipate that the Forestburg & District Swimming pool will open for the 2020 season. Swimming pools are a part of phase 3 in Alberta’s relaunch strategy and, therefore, may not be open this season. If you see us at the pool we are cleaning and doing seasonal maintenance to maintain a healthy, safe facility. We look forward to seeing all of you when we are able to open again!

Lifesaving Society Canada has released the 2019 Canadian Drowning Report. This report reinforces the need for ongoing action and attention to prevent drowning, an important public health issue. Annually over 400 Canadians drown each year.
