Howdy people, We're looking at delivering (without-contact) freshly baked bread on Saturday if enough people are interested. For those of you who've had our focaccia before from Vernon Farmer's Market you know how delicious these are! We’ll have two types, plain (rosemary & garlic) and cheese, both will be $8 each for a large (13) focaccia. Post below if you’re interested and how many you would like. If we get enough interest we’ll confirm with everyone latter this week.... Hope everyone is staying well out there.

WE ARE OPEN! From 11am till late our doors will be open today - we will have further updates about our operating hours later today for the rest of this week. Think of all of your local businesses - support local as much as you can - shop online, call in take out orders at restaurants or if you are feeling on top of your game, go into your local privately owned restaurant - while Corona Virus stops the world it doesn’t stop our operating costs...which unfortunately exists ev...en if we have or don’t have guests or if our doors are open or closed. Stay safe guys!

We never thought we'd see this day....but here we are - COVID-19.... We are sure you are all following along with what is happening with the travel bans and the hysteria over toilet paper. This has become a very real problem that we all need to all work together to prevent a further spread. As of today and until further notice we have decided to cancel any large events for the rest of the season. This will NOT affect our regular restaurant trade - we will be open from 11am t...ill late for lunch and dinner as per usual. This decision has not been made lightly; Silver Star and Powdr have taken a number of actions to limit potential risk including the cancelation of large events and increased social spacing in restaurants. We fully support this decision and why we have taken the same steps. We'd still love to have you all in for lunch or dinner, after all we are a small business and this will surly hit us hard...however...if you are sick please please stay home and come see us when you are recovered! Thank you for understanding - and for god sake ... wash your dam hands!

So we are moving it to Facebook to try and up the anti!... *please do not bid on an item until we have posted the current bid. RULES -comment on the photo of the item you’d like to bid on -bids must in in increments of $5 -if two people bid the same amount at the same time, the time stamp on the comment will determine who came in first - items will still be set up in 1609 for viewing, all bids will now be online -if you are the winning bid, items must be collected in Vernon or at Silver Star - sorry we will not be posting items. As you all would know Australia is experiencing the worst fires in history right now. Months of devastating fires have seen over 14million hectares destroyed - lives have been lost, wildlife injured, and many have lost everything. The Rural Fire Service is volunteer, relying on donations to purchase equipment and fund their operation. The current situation has left many underfunded and struggling to meet the needs to fight these fires. We would like to help. ... There are many charitable organizations out there we have chosen to donate directly to the NSW Rural Fire Service. This weekend starting Friday the 10th of January all the way through till Sunday the 12th of January we will be donating $1.50 from each of the following pints sold and $5 from each parmie special sold. $5 pints of: Somersby Kronenbourg Steamworks Slackwater $18 Parmie special with all the fixings! We will also have a silent auction available for bidding starting Friday for a full week. Tonight we put two of our Chefs head to head in what we’ve dubbed the Pork Chop Cook Off. Both Trevor and Head Chef Victor came up with their own pork chop special. The winner will be the one who’s dish sells the most tonight!
