Lake Simcoe is stressed by phosphorus loads, climate change, and invasive species. The Lake Simcoe Protection Plan (LSPP) addresses these issues and lays out regulations, monitoring, and outreach strategies to address these stressors. The Province said NO to development in the Greenbelt. Why is this being pushed forward?
After nine arduous months, through some of the most difficult times in our collective history, the Green Party has elected Annamie Paul as our new leader of the party, continuing to carry the torch from Elizabeth May who has led with integrity, passion and tenacity for the last 14 years. A longtime resident of Toronto, Annamie is a daughter of immigrants from the Carribean. She has extensive experience in international affairs having served as advisor at the International C...riminal Court in The Hague, as well as a Political Officer in Canada’s Mission to the European Union and a CV making her singularly well suited as leader of the federal Green Party. We, the EDA of Simcoe North, wish to provide a thorough thank you to the other 9 candidates who helped recruit new members and build a better tomorrow for us all. Further we would like to send our support and congratulations to our new leader, Annamie Paul, may she have truth, justice and our futures in her heart as we bravely enter a future of uncertainty together.
