On December 17th, an additional $147 million investment in Mental Health & Addictions services across the province was announced. Funding is targeted to community mental health services, virtual psychotherapy (CBT), children & youth, Indigenous peoples, and those in vulnerable living situations. OTs have so much to offer to increase the system's capacity to meet growing needs through the pandemic. Work in mental health? Due to the pandemic, the deadline to complete the certification for the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) has been extended to February 1, 2021. Only those who have completed the certification for the MoCA will be able to administer the assessment. OSOT is offering members more than a 25% discount for training of the MoCA. The Assistive Devices Program will be launching their e-Submission process for vendors for mobility aids and orthotics starting January 4, 2021. These are primarily for vendors, however, authorizers should be aware of the process changes as well. Authorizers may continue to work with their vendors in the same manner as they have been, the vendors are now required to do the data entry and submit electronically.

The Australian Autism CRC has launched their National Guideline Implementation Toolkit to help clinicians upskill and deliver the recommendations in the National Guideline for the Assessment and Diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorders in Australia.
