Shining a Light on World Suicide Prevention Day: Peterborough Vigil in Millennium Park 7-8pm World Suicide Prevention Day on Tuesday 10th September provides an opportunity to raise awareness of suicide prevention. Working together to prevent suicide is critical and your support will make a big difference in raising awareness and encouraging conversations.... World Suicide Prevention Day is organized by the International Association for Suicide Prevention (IASP). 'Working Together to Prevent Suicide' is the theme of the 2019 World Suicide Prevention Day (10 September). This theme was chosen internationally as it highlights the most essential ingredient for effective global suicide prevention: Collaboration. Locally - please join us at Peterborough's vigil which will take place in Millennium Park from 7-8 pm. This event is coordinated by CMHA, Hospice Peterborough and Telecare Peterborough; agency displays will be set up, The Hospice Singers will be sharing a couple of songs along with the candle lighting.
