Happy Valentine’s Day! I’d like to thank everyone who joined together today for the Virtual Cooking Class. I hope you all enjoyed it; I know my husband and I had a great time topped off with a delicious meal. What’s next you might ask? Well, mark you calendars and watch for emails coming early next week. 18 Feb - Virtual Coffee Break with discussion; join us on Zoom at 1100 hrs Thursday morning. Guest Speaker will be announced via email.... 25 Feb - Virtual General Mess Meeting via Zoom at 1330 hrs. Remember, this is the meeting where we vote on the new budget; your attendance is vital to ensure we have a voting forum. 26 Feb - Virtual Trivia Night - take two! Challenge your coworkers, compete against your spouse or friends and see who can take home some dough! Sign-up will be out soon. And lastly, we are holding another Virtual Bingo on 11 March at 1900 hrs. Starting Monday, 15 Feb, you will be able to sign-up on the PSP BooKing site. I’ll have some advertising out on Monday. Update: Registration is open on PSP BooKing site under General tab until noon 4 Feb for this VIRTUAL Cooking Class? (www.bkk.cfmws/winnipegpub/courses/index.asp) Menu: Traditional Tomato Bruschetta for the appetizer; Home-made Pappardelle with a Creamy Mushroom Sauce or Hearty Tomato Sauce (you pick) for the main;... Tiramisu for dessert. Ingredients kit pickup at Food Studio at 3200 Roblin Blvd on 11 Feb from 1630 - 1800. The class will run on 13 Feb from 1630 - 1900 hrs via Zoom. (Link sent via email to registered participants) The kits will contain enough ingredients to make two generous portions. No special kitchen appliances required. Minimum interest to proceed is 20 kits. This event will require a $20 user fee and the remainder is subsidized by the Mess. This menu is fully vegetarian but we can add chicken breast to the sauce. If you are interested but have any dietary restrictions, food allergies or intolerances we can discuss adjustments to the menu accordingly.

We are halfway thru Jan and have some great upcoming events planned. We have scheduled a Virtual Comedy Night on 22 Jan and Virtual Trivia Night on 29 Jan. Please see the email sent sent to your work accounts. The committee is also looking into scheduling another Virtual Bingo in Mar.
