Some people have been asking me recently about the Prime Minister's comments on using the COVID-19 pandemic as an opportunity for a "reset". This kind of talk is very dangerous. Our focus right now needs to be on keeping people safe and on facilitating the ability of Canadians to return to work. Some politicians are trying to use the pandemic to pursue an ideological agenda that involves bigger government and shutting down highly productive sectors of our economy. ... The political left likes to talk about "Disaster Capitalism", when companies make profits during a disaster. What we are seeing today is "Disaster Socialism" - the use of a pandemic to advance a permanent new big government political agenda. Let's put the politics aside and actually focus on helping Canadians.

We had chatted a few times before, and we had a great final conversation.
