This morning I joined Mayor John Tory, Councillor Mike Layton and City partners to announce 22 new deeply affordable housing units at 25 St Leonard Ave. It was ...a pleasure to open this building and welcome tenants to their new home. Housing affordability is an issue that affects every neighbourhood in our City. The most visible and distressing need for housing is for people who are living day-to-day in shelters, on streets, in parks, and on the edges of the city. Supportive housing like this will have a tremendous impact for the people who move in and will now have housing with the supports they need to succeed. Thank you to St Clare Housing for your continued partnership, making today a reality and your dedication to creating housing for those who need it in our city.
