This year is the first observance of the International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste! In order for our world to strengthen our food systems, each of us must do our part in reducing food loss and wastage. We must be aware of what we produce, consume, and purchase. This past year, one of the teams at UBC's 180DC helped kick-start a non-profit arm dedicated to reducing food loss. The non-profit aimed to support low-income households by helping them attain food security..., eliminate food wastage, and receive access to food education programmes.
