Chilliwack Bowls Of Hope Society 14.11.2020

It's recipe development day today as we prep some new meals for our Hands Up Chilliwack meal kit program.

Chilliwack Bowls Of Hope Society 02.11.2020

Our Feed the Children soup delivery program is back in full swing! Every day our team of volunteers delivers delicious, nutritious soup and bread to 900 hungry children across the Chilliwack school district. It really does take a village to raise a child, and we're so thankful for the help of such dedicated volunteers in making this program a success.

These delicious, fluffy (and healthy) banana blender muffins (recipe below) are so quick and easy to make, they’re perfect for those busy weekday morning breakfasts or to toss in a packed lunch. If you have a delicious and easy recipe we could use in our Hands Up Chilliwack meal kit program DM us with it, or email it to: [email protected]. #HandsUpChilliwack #BowlsofHopeRecipeSearch... Ingredients 1/2 cup + 2 tbsp cashew milk (or any milk og choice) 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar 1/4 cup cashew butter (or any nut butter of choice) 1/4 cup sugar 2 medium bananas (1 cup mashed) 2 tsp vanilla extract 2 cup rolled oats 2 tsp baking powder 1 tsp baking soda 1/4 tsp salt 1 tsp cinnamon, optional 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries (optional) Directions: 1. Put the milk, apple cider vinegar, nut butter, bananas and vanilla in a blender and blend together until smooth. (Can use a bowl and mixer in place of a blender) 2. Add in the dry ingredients and blend until a thick batter forms. Add in blueberries (if using), but use a spatula to mix. 3. Divide the batter into 8-9 lined or greased muffin tins. 4. Bake at 425 F for 5 minutes. This initial super hot heat will help the muffins rise taller. To finish off the baking, reduce the temperature to 350 F and bake for another 14-15 minutes, or until golden brown at the top and the inside is cooked. 5. Let cool completely before eating
