Are your pets frightened of fireworks and other loud noises? Follow these quick tips to ensure that yours and your pets' Halloween is stress free.
Cinderella started learning that she could turn the Reception computer off if she wanted attention in the mornings. We had to come up with some sort of solution to prevent her from easily getting to the power button with her paws. Clearly, she knows how to get around that. Here's a glimpse at one of our assistants informing her that we're onto her.
We had 'Little' Lucy in this week! Lucy is an absolute sweetheart, and we adore her visits. It has been such a joy to watch her grow and develop. In this photo she's just finishing up her exam with the Doctor, and isn't quite sure if she's allowed back in her carrier or not.
February 20th, 2020 marks Appreciate Your Pet Day! We hope everyone showers their fluffy (and sometimes not fluffy) family members with love and affection today. How do you show your pet you appreciate them?
Do your cats not do well at the Vet? Don't be ashamed! Even some of our staff members have the same problem. Jolene, one of our Assistants, has two cats. Click on each photo to learn how each cat is at home, and how they behave at a vet. It shows that even our staff do not have 'perfect' patients, and we just have to work a little harder to ensure the safety of the patient, the staff, and you!
Did you know you can now request appointments on our website? It's now easier than ever to schedule appointments for your furry family members!
Have you ever gotten a sniff of your dog or cat's breath and wrinkled up your nose? All too often, dental care is something that is overlooked with our furry friends. Imagine how your mouth would feel, taste, look and smell if you NEVER brushed your teeth! By age 3, 70% of cats & 80% of dogs have some form of periodontal disease. Tartar and calculus trap bacteria in and under the gum line, which leads to irritation of the gum tissue (gingivitis) and then periodontal disease. ...Signs of tooth and gum disease in pets include: - Bad breath - Excessive salivation - Refusing to eat or dropping food/a change in chewing behavior - Rubbing or pawing at the face - Loose or broken teeth - Inflamed gums Book an appointment to bring your furry family member in and we will make sure they come back with pearly whites!
It was Cinderella's birthday earlier this week! She turned 3, and is still as goofy and wonderful as ever. Over the past couple months she has picked up playing fetch with Zipties. So if you come in and she drops one at your feet, she is expecting you to throw it for her. Make sure when you're in for your next appointment you wish her a happy birthday and give her a little love.
Have you seen Xena? Help get her home! You can find all the information below!

Bringing your cat or kitten to the vet can be very stressful. Not just on getting them in the carrier, but with the ride there and the visit itself. We work hard to make it a positive experience, but there are a lot of things you can do to help us! The BC SPCA has a great video on how to make the trip as stress free as possible.
Everyone talks about spaying and neutering, but do you know it comes with a lot of benefits? Spaying and Neutering your beloved pet can decrease or even eliminate the chance of certain cancers, as well as decreasing aggressive behaviors. If you're ever unsure, you can schedule an appointment with the Doctor to discuss the procedure and benefits.
Do you want to know how to make your Doggo's first visit to the Vet a positive one? We always strive to make our clinic a positive experience for new puppies and kittens, and even older dogs too! But there are lots that you can do to help with these things. The BCSPCA has a great video on what you can do to help make the experience the best it can be!
Did you know cats are just as capable of learning tricks as dogs are? That's right, Fluffy can do tricks like sit down, high five and even lie down. All it takes is some treats, patience and the use of a clicker training tool. Show us your kitty has what it takes, and share a photo or video of your cat doing one of these tricks!
