It’s not just menswear... It’s womenswear, too. It’s twinning with dad-wear, whole family-wear, girlfriend-wear, and best friend-wear. 18 Waits isn’t just a clothing brand, it’s a common ground for like-minded individuals, it’s a lifestyle. ... It’s a way of life inspired by a joie de vivre and an appreciation of the finer things in life like an old pair of leather boots or a child’s painting. 18 Waits has an old European mentality which, at the same time, takes inspiration in nature and the natural flow of the earth. It is a lifestyle that adheres just as much to Parisian cafés as It does to English pubs, 1920s New York speakeasies, wood cabins by the lake, old upright pianos, poetry, literature, and 1970s rock and roll music. Come join the family. #supportlocal #shoplocal

We love partnering with the incredibly talented and inspiring creatives all over Canada, and we can’t wait for the day to arrive that we’re able to resume our in-person projects and events. This one was a really fun Peaky Blinders-themed shoot we did with our friend Matthew Manhire a few years back. You know you’ve got a good team when you’re able to wrap in one day! With everything that 2020 has brought, we’re raising a glass to the possibilities that are coming with 2021.... Have courage and stay safe folks - we’re in the home stretch! #stayhome #staysafe

We have had the distinct honour of having our apparel featured in the latest Gord Downie video, called #UselessNights. The entire album was recorded just prior to his passing and each song (& video) is being released one at a time. A note from our Captain: To me, music is sacred, and a true necessity in life. It has played a major role in my life for as long as I can remember. I have cassette recordings of myself at age 3 singing Ring of Fire by Johnny Cash. I still rememb...er seeing The Beach Boys in Ottawa - my very first concert - when I was 6. I started collecting vinyl and pouring over the album art and liner notes when I was in high school in the early 90s. An important band for me, and to Canada in general, are the Tragically Hip. Gord Downie and the Hip always perfectly embraced and encapsulated the rock & roll voice and spirit of our great country. From their earliest albums to their last, their sound - both musically and lyrically - were truly embraced by the nation. Their fanbase bridged many generations and walks of life - which is no small feat in a country as diverse as ours. I was fortunate to see their final show in Kingston and to share that space, that energy, the tears of joy and the great sadness with 5,000 other fans and fellow Canadians (our Prime Minister included). It was a very special moment and musical highlight among the very many I’ve experienced throughout my life. To be included in this extremely special and touching project - Gord’s last - along with the other extremely talented friends and artists who helped put this project together, brings me a lot of joy and gratitude. I’m grateful and thankful for the opportunity. I’m grateful and thankful for Gord Downie and the Tragically Hip. And I’m grateful and thankful to be Canadian - and that this music is a part of our social and cultural fiber. -DT From today until October 14th, we will be donating 5% of all sales to the Gord Downie and Chanie Wenjack Fund.

We love hearing what our customers have to say about our products, and amid these difficult times, this one really warmed our hearts I really appreciate everything you all do. I made a choice for my own sanity. Even though my team is currently fully virtual for the time being, I get dressed, put on cologne, and continue to take pride in my appearance every day. 18 Waits has been a big part of my daily wardrobe for many years now; and reaching for one of your shirts ever...y morning has brought and maintained a sense of stability and normalcy in these turbulent times. All that to say, thank you again: for being there for me in that way. Thanks, Mike. #stayathome #18waits

Choosing a theme, idea or concept is an integral part of our design process every season. For our Spring/ Summer 2020 collection, our theme was inspired by the fashion of a great Americana band called the Sundowners, and the concept was ‘Album Cover Shoot’. This was a fun one, shot by our pal, @Ryan Bolton Photography. ...
