Yes, Charlie was right! Baddeck Farmers market IS opening soon! It will be very different format, but we hope you will have a pleasant experience despite all ...the rules and regulation. Please read below for detailed info. BFM CREATES NEW MARKETPLACE EXPERIENCE IN COVID-19 ENVIRONMENT: The Baddeck Farmers Market like other markets across the province is redeveloping its market to meet new regulations emerging from the recent pandemic. This FIRST market of the BFM’s 2020 season will be used to gauge interest in this new approach and depending on the results future markets may be held using this format. The BFM has chose not to create an online market and instead will try a new approach for bringing its vendors and customers together in an outdoor marketplace. The BFM will launch a market loop on Saturday, July 11, 2020 (alternate date is July 11 in case of poor weather) where customers will follow a designated route around the Village of Baddeck and have opportunity to visit 12 different venues with artisan and/or food vendors at each location. This market concept encourages multiple small groupings as compared to the traditional large single gathering of vendors and customers. Customers will be provided (in advance) with a digital map available online and a passport on the day of the event. The passport can be used to gather 12 individual venue stamps and once filled becomes a valid ballot to be submitted in a draw for the chance to win $30 in Market Bucks. This drive through market experience permits customers to visit each venue at their leisure within the operating hours of 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on market day. Vendors will setup outside and follow the current Covid-19 safety measures (hand sanitizing, wearing of masks, social distancing, etc.). Free public washrooms will be available in the parking lot of the Village of Baddeck Information Center located at Bethune’s Corner in Baddeck. This first market of the BFM’s 2020 season will be used to gauge interest in this new approach and depending on the results future markets may be held using this format. In the next couple of weeks we will be introducing all the participating vendors to give you an idea about what you will be able to find at our first market of 2020 season. Stay tuned! I received an email from Tanya @sistership Circle . I don’t know her however it helped me to become more positive this morning looking at things from a different angle. As families come together, may it bring neighbors and communities together in intended peaceful assembly as our new 5D earth continues to be birthed in the glory of my awareness and presence.
