Even when we're meeting virtually, there are so many great things happening in Scouts! Here's a snapshot of the options open to our youth this month. (We will head back outside once public health and Scouts Canada gives us the go-ahead.) #ScoutsDoStuff
What a great evening of citizenship with Dave Barton Mayor of Uxbridge Township chatting with our Scout Troop! Great questions from our youth and inspiring messages from the mayor that will help lead to a better community.
Many thanks to the Ontario Turtle Conservation Centre for a great virtual visit tonight to Scouts from Uxbridge, Pickering, and Ajax AND thank you to Scouter June from 8th Ajax Scouts for arranging it!
Scouts of a variety of ages from a number of different groups in Durham Region visited (virtually) the TorontoZoo’s African Rainforest Pavillion this morning. What an awesome experience thanks to Zookeeper Mary Ellen and Scouter June Fry for arranging today’s visit. #ScoutsDoStuff - even from home!
Our Scouts were learning all about Emergency Skills last night with a slideshow and discussion followed by a Kahoot! to test their level of understanding.
After a quick paddle on Elgin Pond, Scouts worked through some cooperative challenges within their patrols in Elgin Park tonight. Fun, challenging, physically distanced! #ScoutsDoStuff

The last set of Level 1 photos of Uxbridge to locate. Harder ones to come! One of the challenges this week is the beginner level of where’s that again? where we have shared a folder of pictures of various places in the Township of Uxbridge with our youth and asked them to identify and/or map their locations on a Google My Map. As each week progresses, the photos will become a little less obvious, increasing the challenge and perhaps working out way up the different age groups we have in our Scout Group. Where’s that again? Set 5
