This is the time to call and book a recall cleaning appointment with us. Are your gums and teeth already in good shape? our hygienist or dentist can examine your mouth and clean your teeth in the same appointment! Their role of a cleaning is to check for potential problems and remove the causes that can lead to them which includes, getting rid of food debris, plaque or calculus that accumulates around the teeth. At the same time we are looking for early signs of decay. During your recall cleaning appointment, we may recommend a fluoride treatment or radiographs along with some helpful tips and suggestions on your at home care. If there are any other problems that need attention, you will get an appointment with the dentist. If you already have gum and teeth problems like periodontitis and bone loss or lots of calculus and deep pockets, your cleaning will be more complex. Which means it will take longer than a regular cleaning and polishing the tooth surfaces and may require to take a few trips to the office and some hygiene homework.
