Another Bread day (Thursday) is just around the corner. Please check out our online shop for your weekly staples. If you order before noon tomorrow, home delivery will be made on Thursday between 3:30pm-4:40pm. Online shop is open to take orders for Bread Day on Thursday, 26th. It is US Thanksgivings day, so we have brought back our pies (Pumpkin & Apple) this week for those who celabrate. We decided to offer by a slice of Pumpkin pie this time due to the new health orders that limit social gatherings. Please note that depending on your location & conditon of side roads, we will contact you for pickup in town or to offer an alternative option to get your bread box to you. 200 Degrees Bakery is now offering Sunday Home Delivery instead of Friday. Order cut-off is Saturday Noon. We are sold out of a few items, but still have a capacity for more orders. This week, I released my first commercial batch of Kimchi (VEGAN/GF), made with Organic Napa cabbage grown by our friends, Rootdown Organic Farm. Meanwhile everyone is doing their own experiments with sourdough, I have been focusing on time with my family. Unfortunately, I still dont have a date that I can announce for reopen yet. Instead, here I have a recipe to share which I developed for the last two days, as I love tasty waffles! This one is not as dense or sweetened as traditional Belgian Waffle. It is somewhere in between. Sourdough Belgian Waffle. (All in grams)... 100 eggs (2 large eggs) 150 milk 250 Sourdough starter (Mine is 1:1 water : flour ratio. Leftover from baking or in an active/mature stage) 250 White Flour 75 sugar or honey 8 Salt 120 melted butter, unsalted Using leftover sourdough starter is totally fine but it should still have some structure in it, please dont use if its too flat and liquified. Mix the first 2 (eggs and milk), beat the eggs with a fork. Then add starter. Scale dry ingredients (flour, salt, sugar), and slowly add to the wet mix. Then slowly add melted butter (melting using microwave is fine, but make sure it doesnt become boiling hot). Mix until smooth and shiny. Consistency will be wet loose dough, and you should be able to scoop. Let it rest at room temperature for 1-2 hours before bake. I used stovetop iron, but any would work fine. Make sure to preheat your iron to give it a nice deep caramel colour outside. Enjoy with lightly whipped cream and berries! It was such a treat for from 22month old and the adults.

Cranberry and multi seeds are added after resting period (aka autolyse). Available tomorrow (16th) and Saturday (18th). Nutty tangy and hint of sweetness, it is perfect for toast! My 22 month old son stole my slice of this sourdough yesterday and ate all even the crust!

Introducing Whole wheat Toast Bread. No oil, no sugar, no dairy, no egg.Yes, they are vegan and moistened with oat and seeds porridge, lightly sweetened with malted barley. I started to work on toast bread fomular for my own toddler (19mth), for a quick&easy but nutrition packed snack. Finally happy with the result after a few weeks of adjustment.
