We have another accommodations property coming online today. The HOC for the 2017 Canadina Spint CanoeKayak Championship is pleased to add Brock University Residences to our accommodation partners. Booking information is as follows:... Brock University is a quick 18 minute drive from the Welland International Flat-water Centre. Out traditional style residence rooms are 2-single bedroom suites with a shared washroom. Each floor can sleep up to 50 guests. At the end of each floor is a common lounge equipped with furniture, television, tea kettle and a microwave. Guests will have access to all campus food, beverage and supply services during their stay and will be able to park vehicles at no extra charge, in lot M. Congratulations to Laurence Vincent Lapointe and Katie Vincent for an amazing 1st and 3rd place finish respectively, at the World Cup #3.

A big congratulations and thank you to KC Fraser and Hannah Vaughan who have recently announced their retirements from the National Team. Hannah first made the ...National Team in 2010 and one of her career highlights was winning Canada’s first gold medal at the 2015 Toronto Pan American Games in Women’s K4 500m. KC was also a part of that K4 crew. KC has been on the team since 2010 and competed at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games in K2 and K4. We’re looking forward to formally recognizing the achievements of Hannah, KC and other retiring athletes this summer at National Championships in Welland. See more

Arrangements are as follows: Visitation will be at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 GUELPH LINE (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Monday, May 25, 2015 from 3 - 5 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. Cremation to follow. A private interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto will take place at a later date.
