2020 Relay for Life

Tomorrow morning (Friday) at 10am (I Allison HarveyMoyles) will be on CBC Radio Gander Open Line with Martin Jones to discuss the Lewisporte Cancer Relay for Life and the need for volunteers for it to go ahead this year. Volunteers are Priceless! A little bit of your time could mean a lot for an event like the Cancer Relay for Life!

Relay 2020 NEEDS volunteers! The 2020 Relay committee needs a chair and new members. Due to health and family commitments the current committee needs more volun...teers. If there are no volunteers to join the committee there sadly will not be a relay this year. Hundreds of people in the Lewisporte area attend Relay for Life each year, thousands of dollars are donated through this event which helps our friends and family in the community who have been, are, or will be going through the Cancer struggle. Without you, there will not be a Relay and $10,000+ will not get donated to the Canadian Cancer Society, in NL that $ goes to Daffodil place AND to local offices which help Cancer patients receive items and care they need. Lewisporte’s Cancer Relay for Life raised an amazing $14,510.95 this past June!!! That is absolutely incredible!! Would you like to help out our very small... committee to make Relay 2020 even better? We are seeking committee members, and general volunteers from the Lewisporte and Twillingate areas! We would LOVE to have at least 1 committee member that can represent the Twillingate area so we can ensure the area is well represented at the next Relay!
