On Mon, Jan 11, the Air Cadets held a Google Classroom discussion regarding the events of Jan 6, 2021 that happened at the Capitol in the USA. It was a respectful and vigorous discussion that showed a variety of opinions of our global community. It blatantly demonstrated the effective speaking techniques and respect for citizenship of the cadets. We want to mention; during the discussion, the regard for one another's opinions and input was admirable. As leaders of the commu...nity, the Air Cadets are generating a solid foundation for society with constructive beliefs and active participation. As we move into colder weather and further code red restrictions, we want to remind everyone to stay active, enjoy your hobbies, (if they meet with Provincial Health Recommendations), wash your hands a lot, check in with friends and/or family or call "Kids (Teens) Help Phone" 204-925-5675. Reaching out to those resources could really give the boost needed to cheer us up or let us know that we do go through struggles in life, and we can all find solutions. It is important to access supports that work for you. UPCOMING: We look forward to our next parade night on Jan 18. Jan 25 we will not hold parade night as it will be a study night for everyone. Feb 1 is a CO's Assembly in blue uniform. Feb 8 will be another discussion night. we decided to hold off announcing the topic for a week or so to see what current events are top of everyone's mind. Please remember to take the Google poll. Link is in your email. PARENTS! If you've read this far ;) there is a meeting on Wed, Jan 13 @ 7:00PM. The link is in your email. (we do not want to post links publicly on FB) Thank you so much for your leadership and citizenship. Capt JT Undiks

Cadets, We are very glad you were able to participate in the Remembrance Day Service today. We know it is difficult not to be able to parade in-person. Personally, I am completely impressed by all of you in your recognition of those who served and continue to serve. A special thank you to the cadets who volunteered to be a part of creating this video. Every one of you involved with the squadron makes me so very proud to be involved with the Air Cadet Program. ... As Hon Col Rempel stated: "The torch; be yours to hold it high" - you can hold your heads high day after day with the service you are providing to your communities and the world. You made an impression on the students of Mme Warburton's class in the Toronto area. They created posters especially for you. Enjoy! The video is available publicly now on YouTube and you can watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BlzU0HeOTWI We will remember them. Capt JT Undiks, CD
