This year has been extremely difficult for our communities and the need is great. This year, instead of having our in-person Christmas Banquet, we are asking our Cadets, their families and Corps Staff help those in need during this holiday season. Our FTX is still a GO! The weather looks a little chilly and wet tomorrow so make sure you pack warm and water proof layers. There was an email sent out last week on the FTX to parents. If you didn't receive it please check you SPAM folders to see if it was sent there. If not then you can email the CO or Training O for the email. ([email protected] / [email protected])... Here is a snippet of important items to note: FTX Date: 14 & 15 November 2020 (2 Day activities) FTX Location: Three Pond Barrens, Pippy Park North Location: Grooves Road + Parkers Pond Road (Map Attached) Drop Off Time: 0800 Pick up Time: 1600 Prior to Drop Off: - All Cadets must complete the COVID-19 Awareness Course prior to any in person activity. - Complete the COVID-19 Self Assessment Tool at https://nl.thrive.health/covid19/en Drop Off Procedures: - Once arrived, Cadets must undergo the In-routine process. Parents/Guardians are asked to remain on site, and in their vehicles until this process is complete. - If you have any questions, please remain in your vehicle and have your child get an officer.

Cadets Canada has cataloged a list of online training available for cadets on the portal: https://portal-portail.cadets.gc.ca/_/login-connexion.aspx You can create an account if you do not have one from previous years. Once you are logged in, click on the Cadet Activities tab to access the content. There is no charge to take advantage of these resources. Hello Folks, Just a reminder that the Annual Validation forms are due tomorrow and I have only received less than 1/3. Please check your emails as your cadet(s) will not be allowed to participate in person when we are allowed to do so. Also a reminder that if a Detailed Health Questionnaire is attached to the validation, it MUST be sent to Shearwater as quickly as possible as this will also prevent your cadet from participating in our training.
