It’s Make a Will week in BC. Having a Will is a very important part of estate planning. It is never too early to make one but easy to be too late. Personal planning is a large part of my practice and I’d love to help you get it done. Call soon as appointments book up quickly.

Sometimes the apology present is very aptly named. Glad we could get the job done for our clients and maintain a good relationship with the lender who made the oops.

Excited to be attending the BC Notaries Association’s first online conference. While I really miss seeing my Notary family in person at least I get to learn new stuff!

This thing has overstayed its welcome. Can you use it? It works about as well as any of these things. Free!

Whew! That's a wrap on August's crazy month end. I love that my clients keep us busy but it sure feels good when we get it all done!

Heads up that I will be taking a rare summer holiday beginning tomorrow at the end of the day. I'll be returning to work on August 24th. My office will be open during my absence but notarizations will not be available. :)

BC Notaries are here across British Columbia to help make sure what you care about will be kept in safe hands.

There must be some symbolism in this beautiful plant blooming. A lovely gift from a client about a year ago and it has survived with my "haphazard, at best" care. It is busy in my office this summer, in spite of our present pandemic situation. We are working to return to a more normal level of services and hope to be able to start booking personal planning appointments again soon. Stay safe everyone!

As the area re-opens we've changed our operations a little and are now allowing clients back in the office, under strict conditions of course! The first of those conditions being that you have an appointment, please call to book. :)

Feeling pretty cool about being in the Spring issue of the Scrivener.

I've had a few enquiries about remote signing for land title documents. The short answer is yes, I can accommodate this option but it is less than ideal and there are additional fees involved. (Also, not all lenders allow it!) The longer answer is that I've got a pretty slick set up for signing documents using my office door as a partition and sliding paperwork back and forth under it. We are sanitizing the whole area after every client and providing clients with brand new pens to take home with them after their appointment. It's weird but it's working great. If you have an upcoming transaction and you're worried about signing, please, give me a call and I'll walk you through how it works.

Please note that my office will be closed for an extra long weekend (re-opening on Wednesday the 15th), so that we can all get a much needed rest. We wish you and your loved ones a safe, happy holiday weekend. Please, stay home and stay safe.

We're still staying healthy and productive in the office. Our measures seem to be working to keep ourselves and our clients safe. It's strange doing business this way but it's working so we'll keep at it. At this time real estate transactions are still our focus. However, I am working at establishing methods of remote instruction taking for personal planning documents so that I can continue to help people make the ever so important documents we all need. Stay tuned for an update. In the meantime, stay home, stay safe.
