To all Gold Star Cadets: Note that there are some changes to the expedition this coming weekend. First, you will be hiking on Sunday (Not Saturday). ... Second, the route for your expedition has changed. Below is the current, accurate information regarding the hike: 2515 Sunday 22 Nov 20 Meet 0730hrs @ End of Shore Ln (Maddox Cove) Google code - F8C4+HG Goulds, St. John's, NL Route is chosen because of access - Pull outs at Staffordside Rd, Cape Spear if anything goes wrong. Feel free to add staff cadet to the serial. Finish approx. 1630 hrs @ Blackhead Google Code - G8GV+C4 St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador Cadets dressed for weather, we'll have rain gear if necessary. A reminder as well that: Cadets are required to wear a mask at all times, including during the training (recommendation for this type of training would be if they have a Buff that they can just pull up over their nose). We have masks available. - Cadets must be provided the COVID-19 Aide Memoire by the unit: (can be found in this folder) - As per normal (for whatever that means) if they are symptomatic before the activity they have to let you know to let us know and not attend. - Upon arrival on site, cadets will be provided with hand sanitizer and will be required to answer standard screening questions - Lunch will be provided if they want to avail of this (MRE) but they are welcome to bring their own lunch/snacks if they choose to do so - Day packs are available. Cadets need to bring their own water bottles with adequate water for the day. - Hiking is the activity so footwear with ankle support is required. November 25th Good Day, The cadets have been working very hard so far this year, so the Commanding Officer has decided that this week we're going to relax a little.... No uniforms this week. We're going to watch Christmas movies and have some pizza! Tis the season! Timings will remain the same, 6:15-9 (Groups dismissed in 5 min intervals) Reminder- Do not leave until your cadet has been screened to attend for the evening.

Wednesday Nov 18 6:15-9 (groups get dismissed in 5 min intervals) Dress: FTU/ if you do not have a uniform, clean neat civilian clothes... Attendance is very important!! If you cannot make it, send us an email so we can mark you as excused. Remember not to leave before your child has been screened.

Good day, all. Just a couple of reminders. This week there will be no cadets on the 11th due to Remembrance Day. ... I would also remind parents that cadets are not permitted to wear uniforms to school this year, nor are they to participate in any organized remembrance day activities. We know that is disappointing, but the cadet's safety must come first. We will be restarting on Nov 18 and so see you all there.

Good Day, Thank you for your patience last week with the new In-Take process, it went a little longer than planned, we are making adjustments as this is new to all of us. Dress: Field Training Uniform (FTU) If you do not have a uniform, neat civilian attire.... Lectures are beginning tonight. If you are unsure which is your group, Officers once again will let you know which classroom you are to report too. Group 1- Ju Jitsu Room Group 2- Archery Room Group 3- Classroom 1A,B,C Group 4- Classroom 1E,F Cadets who brought in uniforms that do not fit will receive replacement parts, our Supply Officer is working on this, it may take a little longer due to COVID. Ensure your uniform is wrinkle free and boots are blackened. The CO just may be inspecting tonight. Females: Hair in a neat bun or french braid. Males Haircuts and shave. If your cadet has decided not to return to training, please return uniform parts, either between 6:15- 6:30 this evening, or it can be dropped off on the step of 19 Dunfield Street anytime. Please place the uniform in a garbage bag with name on it. Thanks,
