Food Bank Update Week #5: Another successful week for our Grocery Delivery Service. Pleased to report that the Community generously donated a further $1394.00. Foodland will be topping that amount up to an even $1500.00. Half the proceeds will go to the Corunna Food Bank and the other half to the Optimist Club. Thanks again to all who donated! Another big thank you to Tara and Shaun Antle (and family) for their generous donation of delicious heat and serve meals that went to our volunteer drivers. Your kind gesture and that of Piquette Frozen Meals is very much appreciated. It is always great to see local businesses like Kay's Petals and Plants, the Cooperators, Antonio's Pizza and Corunna Chiropractic step up to help the Community in times of need. Thanks again to all!

Food Bank Update Week 4! Reporting another great week for donations to the Corunna Food Bank. Donations received totalled $1423.00, and with the Foodland Community Action Fund top up we will present the Food Bank with gift cards in the amount of $1600.00. This brings the four week total to $6400.00. Thanks again to all those who donated. Moving forward, we have had a request from the Optimist Club for a donation to their organization as they have lost many of their fund ra...ising abilities due to the Covid-19 situation. The Optimist Club not only has been instrumental in coordinating the volunteer delivery service currently, but are also instrumental in coordinating many Community initiatives including Operation Christmas Tree. We will be providing a portion of each week's donations to the Optimist Club commencing this week along with our thanks and gratitude for all they do for our Community. See more

Girl Guide Cookies! We are pleased to report that participating Sobeys banner stores across Canada have offered to help support the selling of Girl Guide Cookies. Girl Guides sell over 3.5 million boxes of cookies across Canada and Ontario accounts for 1.4 million of this total. Unfortunately due to the ongoing pandemic, they were not able to go door to door to sell their cookies. Girl Guide cookies are now available in store at a retail of $5.00 per box. 100% of each sale will go directly back to the Girl Guides. Foodland is proud to be part of this initiative and invites the community to support this worthwhile cause. Plus they are great tasting Cookies!!!

Food Bank Update! We just completed the third week of our Community grocery delivery service. We are extremely pleased to report that a further $1570.00 was raised for the Corunna Food Bank. This amount will be topped up to $1800.00 through our Foodland Community Action Fund, which brings the three week total to $4800.00. We again thank everyone for their generous donations. Also a continued thanks to St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church for coordinating this very much needed program and to Tracy Kingston and her team of volunteers for their tireless efforts in delivering the groceries around St. Clair Township.

A heartfelt thank you to Tara, Shaun, Ethan and Callie Antle (and Nash) for the great gesture of appreciation for our Foodland staff. The Antle family presented our staff on Tuesday with some delicious heat & serve meals to recognize the hard work and dedication of our Foodland team. Tara and Shaun are both advisors with the Co-operators Insurance in Corunna and we applaud and very much appreciate what they have done. Thanks Again!!
