If a choir is only about singing and performing - there will be no choir for a while. If choir is about teaching and learning, growing, connecting, community, cultural exploration and transmission, and innovating - we will find a way to have choir.

It's a pretty tense time in the world. You know what soothes frazzled souls? Music. Here's the Vancouver Children's Choir singing Children of the Earth.

The Vancouver Children's Choir welcomes all singers, aged 6-16 to join our choir for our 2019-2020 season. Our choir holds two concerts a year and performs at various community events throughout the year. During weekly rehearsals our choristers receive training in music theory and practical vocal performance training. The choir's repertoire is vast and varied and our choristers learn Beethoven to Bernstein! 2020 Auditions are being held during on January 15, 22, and 29 from... 6:30pm, to 8:30pm How to audition: Please e-mail [email protected] to let us know you want to audition, and which day you would like to attend. Come to the rehearsal on that day, take part in the rehearsal and stay behind for a short personal assessment with our choir directors. Parents will meet with the choir coordinator.

Our 2019 Christmas Concert was a joyful, jazzy, Christmas cabaret style evening featuring our junior and senior choirs (of course) and local jazz musicians Laurence Mollerup, James Danderfer, Elliott Polsky and Daryl Jahnke. A certain person in red may have also made a brief appearance!
