DID YOU KNOW THE CADET PROGRAM OFFERS FREE HIGH SCHOOL CREDITS??? That’s right! As of 2013 the Nova Scotia government added personal development credits to the school credit system. This means that a full year of training (including summer training) can be used to collect an extra elective credit on top of the regular credits earned from class! This means that you or your son/daughter can earn an extra credit over their cadet/high school careers just by simply being a cadet!... If you have any questions about how the Army Cadet Program can directly aid you or your son/daughter academically while also building their interpersonal skills, develop citizenship leadership attributes, allow them to travel Canada AND Internationally for FREE, take a look at our Facebook page/website (www.2937cadets.ca) or drop by our unit any Tuesday night from 6:30 to 9:00. https://pdc.ednet.ns.ca//final_information_for_students_pa

The Army Cadet program offers amazing opportunities that are NOT available to regular civilians. Cadets allows Canadian youths, ages 12-18, to improve their citizenship, leadership, and fitness abilities all while traveling throughout our beautiful country (and internationally) without spending a dime. The cadet program has many advance training courses available! Pictured above are actual cadets parachuting from a C-130 Hercules RCAF Aircraft. The paratrooper course is the o...nly CAF course that Army Cadets can partake in. This course is only offered through the Army Cadet program and is the ONLY course that provides an actual military qualification. That’s right! The wings earned by cadets on this course are the same wings worn by CAF members! If the cadet chooses to pursue a career in the CAF (which is absolutely not the aim of the cadet program), they get to wear the wings they earned as a cadet on their CAF uniform. This year 2937 has two cadets ready to accept the ultimate challenge and follow in the footsteps of four other 2937 cadets and become a Paratrooper. This is the hardest course in the Canadian Cadet program. We wish them luck in their training and hope to see at least one more set of wings on the chest of a proud cadet at our LHQ! 2937 is currently looking for Canadian youths ages 12-18 (girls and boys) to accept the ultimate challenge. We parade every Tuesday night from 6:30 - 9:00 at the Enfield Legion (50 old Enfield Road, Enfield NS). For more information check out our Facebook page www.2937cadets.ca or drop by the unit during our training hours! #cadet #cadets #cadetscanada #enfield #canada #caf #canadianarmy #paratrooper #jumpwings #wings #fitnessmotivation #ultimatechallenge #novascotia
