Here is a simple and fun way to jazz up your family room. Crown molding about 4 inches from the ceiling with warm colour rope lighting. This will make your movie viewing more, just more!

Recycled Spare bedroom; The brick fireplace wall painted dark purple. The lamp was an awful peach colour. Painted purple with black overlay. Same treatment for shade. Headboard was an ugly brass gold. Painted satin white. Old picture frame given same treatment as light; purple and black. Insert mirror. Old fashioned quilt and purple sheets. Light grey walls with white trim. Bright and cheerful. Oh yes the mattress is a new pillowtop to give our guests a great night's sleep.
