2Ravenz Witchy Wednesdays Mini Yule logs for cleansing Cedar... Rosemary Cinnamon stick Natural string It’s the same process as the first post I made on herbal cleansing bundles (refer to 2Ravenz witch tip Tuesday) for this one is as follows Burned during Yuletide to cleanse your home, aid in healing, increase psychic powers, draw money, and attract luck and love. Hold the intention for this season brings abundance while blessing you. Light the end of the bundle let it smolder and let the smoke cleanse your space. Make sure you extinguish when you are finished. This item can be used multiple times. What is the meaning of Yule for pagans and Wiccans? Yule is a holiday that taps into the eternal cycle of life and death and the battle between light and dark. It reminds us that there is hope in knowing that the sun will return even in the darkness. For pagans and some witches, the Winter Solstice marks the beginning of the 12 days of Yule which starts December 21 known as Winter solstice. At this time, we respect the underworld, ward off spirits, and honor the rebirth of the sun god. The ancient Scandinavians began the custom of burning the Yule log. Their log was huge and felled from an Ash tree. It was burned to honor the god Thor. Celtic tradition has the log coming from an oak tree, where it was brought into the home to keep the hearth fire burning into the New Year. This was done to prevent unwanted spirits from entering the home. Some pagans write their dreams and goals for the year to come and then burn those papers on the Yule log’s flames. From my experience and what was taught to me was that when you tossed your paper of dreams and goals into the fire and if it burned quickly by the flames it means it will come to fruition and if it didn’t it could mean that it’s not for you or not in the year to come.

2Ravenz Witch Tip Tuesday: I wanted to share with you how easy it is to make your own herbal bundle to cleanse your space. When you make it yourself it makes it even more powerful. Ask the energies from each plant to assist you in your sacred practice by honoring and respecting our herbal allies, they are here to assist and heal us on all levels. You can get the herb from your local grocery store or back yard. Or grow them yourself. Hold your herbs in your hands and ask for... all negative energies that make have absorbed into them to be cleanses back to source and keep what is for the greatest and highest good of all. Make sure you are in a good place before making them; again this is your energy going into them so you want to make sure you’re in a place of gratitude and respect and thank the herbs for assisting you. Once you are done and you have some rose petals left over, sprinkle them on and around your herb bundle so it can infuse it with the highest vibrations and cleanse and purify them. Let them dry out for a few days so they will be ready to use. Light the tip of your herb bundle let it flame for a moment, blow it out cleanse yourself then starting at your door and moving right making sure the smoke gets all the corner, command that all negative energies that are not for my greatest and highest good to be removed and replaced with love and light. Repeat saying until you’re done. Open a few windows so the negative energy can leave your home or space. These are a few herbs and plants I’m using today; you can add mint, juniper, pine, basil etc. Rosemary rosemary is a religious incense, and will enhance the sacredness of any occasion. It is an herb of protection against evil and has been used to cleanse and purify the air of illness. Cedar Cedar is a powerful ingredient. It’s great for cleansing and creating sacred spaces. It can be burned, planted and used in incense. Its shavings can be burnt to consecrate and purify both places and tools. Bay - Burning bay leaf will cleanse and drive out any negative, harmful, or unwanted energies and feelings from yourself, your space and other people. Bay leaf is a great addition to sage during a sacred space cleansing and will assist in the purification, protection and clearing of the space. Thyme thyme is a herb of protection, used to bring protection against all dangerous creatures. It is also used to communicate with ones that have crossed over to ask them for advice or to send them blessings. Thyme is can be used to invoke fairies and to bring in fun and letting go of serious adult cares and carries the virtue of courage and ambition. White Rose Roses are sacred and represents Love/beauty and guards against evil because of its high vibration. White roses cleanse a space of negative energies; even having white roses in your space clears it of negative vibrations. You can sprinkle rose petals over your tools and or room and ask the energy of the rose to cleanse and purify.
