GETTING CREATIVE WITH A SKETCH Do you ever find yourself in a creative rut? A sketch may be just what you need. Let’s face it, we all have times where we are ready to craft, but the creative ideas are not coming. Starting with a sketch can be just the inspiration you need to get the creative side of you back on track. [insert sketch]... There are lots of sketches available on the internet, a search will give you lots to choose from. You can adapt them any way you like, but they give you a guided starting point. I chose the above sketch because I liked the layout, but I made my cards standard size, so did not follow the measurements provided, and that’s what it is all about making it yours! I used the Happy Thoughts stamp set for all three cards but changed up the rest of the elements to make each card unique. [insert card pictures] I made one card more masculine, one more feminine, and one kind of in the middle! I changed the shapes of the elements, and the overall layout of the card. As I mentioned the sketch is the starting point to get your creative side going. Why not find a sketch that interests you and make some cards changing out elements and colours. You may be amazed at how different the cards can look, all with the same initial sketch. Have fun creating!

Snow Wonder Bundle This is a wonderful stamp set and coordinating dies that you will use for years to come. It is a 7-piece cling stamp set and a 7 piece die set. The dies cut the wreath, snowman and trees while the other 4 dies are shapes. These can be used as layers for a great winter theme for many occasions and of course a perfect Christmas theme as well. This card is my version of a Merry Christmas wish that I am proud to send out to friends and family.... Materials Gold or Crumb Cake CS 5 X 4 Early Expresso for the leaves Gold Glimmer Paper for the berries Poppy Parade for the mini poinsettia Whisper White for the stamped snowman Pool Party for the Stitched circle and the Merry Christmas label Gilded Gems for the centers of the poinsettia Ornate Layers Dies (middle frame) to make the frame border using a wood pattern from In Good Taste DSP. (The ornate frame that you are not using can be used for another design) Snow Wonder Bundle Stitched Circle Dies Poinsettia Petals Bundle for the berries and the mini poinsettia Instructions I found it much easier and a lot more organized to cut everything out first especially if you are doing a large number of cards. Prepare the base using the bone folder. Adhere the frame you made using the Ornate Layers Dies to the front of the card. Next adhere the stitched circle inside the frame on the right side of the card. Next adhere the leaves to the left side of the card inside the frame. The gold berries are the next to be adhered onto the early expresso leaves followed by the three mini poinsettia place on top. Each poinsettia gets a gilded gem center, Next the snowman is glued on the center of the circle and finally the label is adhered using SU dimenionals under the snowman centered on the circle. I hope you enjoy making this card as much as I have.

Quick and Easy Christmas Cards Christmas is just around the corner and I want to give you a quick and easy idea for a beautiful card. I made two of them with my favorite colors - Purple and Blue. (Picture 1)... They are so beautiful. Both were made with Feels Like Frost DSP. I love the images on this DSP. They are so lovely and make you feel like you just took the best picture EVER! The nice thing about this DSP is you have gorgeous images on one side and the other is silver images. Here is a card I made with the silver side of the DSP. (Picture 2) I embossed it with Evergreen Forest #D Embossing Folder. I saw this technique done last year and I wanted to see if I could copy the technique. The card base is Cherry Cobbler. This gives you an idea about how attractive this DSP is and how amazing it is to add texture or a picture to your cards. (Picture 3) This card base is Highland Heather cardstock. It measures 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", score at 4 1/4". The next layer is Purple Posy and it is 4" x 5 1/4". The Feels like Frost DSP measures 3 3/4" x 5". I added a Purple Tri-color Ribbon to the bottom of the card. I thought it brought out all the purple in the card. The sentiment was done in Highland Heather Ink. The words are from the December "Joy to the World" Paper Pumpkin Kit. I mixed up a spritzer of Frost White Shimmer Paint and alcohol in a Spritzer bottle. It adds more shimmer and frost to the card. (Picture 4) This card base is Seaside Spray. I love this color! It is one of 2019-2022 In Colors. You will want to buy an extra ink refill and card stock. This color will be missed at the end of this year. I would love to see this color be added as a permanent color. (Measurements are the same as the above card.) The next layer is Night of Navy then Feels like Frost DSP. The Sentiment is from the December's Paper Pumpkin kit stamped in Night of Navy Ink and the ribbon is Seaside Spray Metallic. I also Spritzed this card with Frost White Shimmery Paint. (Picture 5) Can you see the Shimmer? It is very subtle. (It was hard to get a good picture.)

Easy Shaker Card SUPPLIES Stamp Set - Peaceful Boughs Ink Misty Moonlight... Paper including cutting directions Seaside Spray Cardstock 8 x 5 scored and folded at 4 for card base, scrap Mossy Meadow Cardstock scrap Feels Like Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper 5 x 4 Accessories Beautiful Boughs Dies Clear Wink of Stella Snowflake Splendor Ribbon 4 Clear Medium Envelope Snowflake Sequins Tear & Tape Stampin’ Dimensionals Multipurpose Liquid Glue Glue dots Scotch Tape INSTRUCTIONS 1. Place the piece of DSP with the desired side up into the clear envelope and position tightly in one corner of the envelope. 2. Put a fairly large amount of the Snowflake Sequins in the envelope. 3. Fold the flap down tightly over the back of the DSP and secure. Fold the top edge of the envelope down over the DSP and secure with scotch tape. You now have the shaker part of your card. 4. Apply Tear & Tape to the back of shaker as shown in photo 2 and adhere to card front. 5. Cut Mossy Meadow scrap with the middle-sized branch die. 6. Paint it with Clear Wink of Stella and then adhere to front of card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. 7. Tie an overhand knot in the ribbon and adhere to bough with glue dot. 8. Stamp the greeting on scrap of Seaside Spray cardstock with Misty Moonlight ink and cut out with the label die from the Beautiful Boughs dies. Adhere to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
