30 Minute Hit 03.03.2021

Mental health and physical health are so intertwined - sometimes change happens from the inside out <3 #transformationtuesday

30 Minute Hit 17.02.2021

JAN 29 AHS UPDATE ON EASING of RESTRICTIONS: WHAT IT MEANS FOR US Hey Sherwood Park Hit Fam! As you may be aware, AHS has presented a staged plan for the gradual easing of restrictions (pending continued success on decreasing hospitalizations related to COVID-19) beginning February 8, 2021. ... HOW DOES THIS IMPACT US? At this point it looks like we fall under Stage 2 within Alberta’s reopening plan which means we are unable to open our doors at this time. While we would love more than anything to open back up and see your beautiful faces and hear you crushing those bags again, we must do what we have to to ease the strain on our healthcare system and keep our community safe. As always, memberships will continue to remain on hold with access to our online Hit @ Home program available at no cost to current members. We sincerely appreciate the support, love, and kindness from our Hit Community and can't wait to see you all soon! With Love, Your Hit Trainers

30 Minute Hit 01.02.2021

Hello Hit Family! I'm sure, like us, everyone has been excitedly waiting for news on when we can reopen our doors and get back to hitting the bags. With the new announcement earlier today from Chief Medical Officer, Deena Hinshaw, we must remain closed for "a little while longer". While this may be hard to hear we will do our part in following any guidelines set out by the Alberta Government to stop to spread of Covid-19. ... In the meantime, all memberships will remain on hold and our Hit @ Home program is still available to use so you can get your Hit Fix until we can be together again. We appreciate everyone's continued support and love during this time and we will continue to update you as we move through this. Stay Safe, Stay Strong, & We will see you Soon! Your 30 Minute Hit Trainers

30 Minute Hit 25.12.2020

2020 is just about over While I'm sure most of us are excited to put this year behind us and ring in 2021 I wanted to take a moment a remind you of a few things. This time of year always comes with an onslaught of ads and promotions from every diet/detox company and promoter that you can imagine. Telling you that your body needs to change in order to be beautiful. I'm here to remind you that they are wrong and while it may look like it's a "sign" it's not. ... Your body is an amazing thing and has gotten you through so much this year. This year has been tough for all of us and we need to appreciate all we've been able to get through. So while we head in to 2021 and any fitness plan or goal you may have in mind, I want you to do it out of love and appreciation for your body instead of hate. Go to the gym because you want to thank your body and make it stronger, not because you want to punish it and fit in to an "ideal" body size that doesn't exist. Fitness can be for strength, endurance, mental health, stress relief and so many other things that are there to build you up, not tear you down.

After every Hit @ Home workout is done you can opt in to send a virtual first bump to someone who also just completed their workout! It's a great way to stay connected and get that little extra motivation while we are away.

30 Minute Hit 29.11.2020

We are a day late but nonetheless Happy Belated Birthday to this wonderful guy! Thank you Taylor for everything you do You're an amazing human being that constantly works his butt off. 2020 has thrown so many things our way but there is no way we would have made it through without you. With everything going on we hope you still got time to relax and enjoy your day.

30 Minute Hit 22.11.2020

It has been a YEAR to say the least. Thankfully we have Hit @ Home (free with any membership!) to keep us going while we can't hit the bags in person. Have you pressed play today? What's your favorite Hit @ Home exercise?

30 Minute Hit 17.11.2020

To our valued members, As we are aware of the confusion and frustration currently being caused by some fitness facilities claiming exceptions from recently issued health orders regarding indoor group fitness, we wanted to reach out with clarification of our position. While we understand the desire to be open, we do feel strongly that we have an obligation to truly do our part in keeping our community safe; and will d...o so by complying with all current government health orders. In our opinion, loose interpretations of the rules, lobbying for special exemptions with no rationale, or exploiting loopholes in the order does not serve the common good of our community or help us in achieving what is required to reopen safely and as soon as possible. We continue to seek clarification from local health authorities on how certain facilities are able to continue operations counter to current health orders; along with how our 30 Minute Hit program fits within the policies in comparison. In the meantime, for now, we must regrettably remain closed. We will continue to put our community first and comply with current health orders during this incredibly trying time for everyone. We will be sure to provide updates as the situation develops. As always, we thank you for your continued support. See more

Our dear valued Hitters, We thank for your ongoing support and for continuing to trust us with your health and safety over the past 8 months. As we understand recent health orders have created some confusion in regards to the fitness industry, we want to take this opportunity to clarify where 30 Minute Hit fits within these new restrictions. ... Over the past week, while we have been closed out of an abundance of caution in our commitment to comply with government heath orders, we have worked hard to confirm how 30 Minute Hit fits with the new restrictions. We have confirmed with health authorities that our operation does not fall under the category of group fitness rather instead falls under the umbrella of "individual sport activity" which is permitted with appropriate safety measures. Factors that have helped determine this classification include; We do not have set class times and members arrive for their own work out on their own schedule. We have a remote check-in system that maintains ample space between members at all times. Participants work out individually and are never part of a specific group or class. As such we can operate and be open under current health orders along with other facilities that offer individual workouts. We continue to make the health and safety of our community our priority and remain confident in our abilities to provide a safe environment for our members. We'll see you back on those mats TOMORROW, gals! Katie and Taylor will be ready and waiting at 9 am!

30 Minute Hit 09.11.2020

Hey Hitters! Today we will be opening a little bit later, around 5PM, due to some unforseen circumstances sorry! But, great news! Despite last night's restrictions, it does seem that we will be able to stay open, albeit at a reduced capacity. But the good thing is, we are already at the reduced capacity due to the staggered check ins that we have been doing to maintain cleanliness.... Anyway, please keep an eye out for an upcoming email that will have all the information you need and more. Thanks again for your understanding everyone, and we'll see you on the floor soon!

30 Minute Hit 03.11.2020

Attention Hitters, In light of recent updates to government health orders we must regrettably, cease operations until further notice. While we remain confident in our Covid-19 Safety protocols and our ability to continue providing you with safe workout environment, we are also deeply committed the health and safely of our community and understand our responsibility to carefully follow all heath guidelines as they develop. ... 30 Minute Hit 16.10.2020

Shout out to our October Members of the Month!! Theresa and Danielle! This Dynamic Duo are an unstoppable force on the floor. They never back down from a challenge and they never give up, no matter how hard they may be pushing. They continually make us laugh and keep us sharp as trainers while we think of new things to teach them and throw their way. We are thankful to have them as part of our Hit Community. ... Here is what they had to say: "It has almost been 1 year since we started and we are still going strong. We started off by looking for something new that we could do together and after our first trial we were hooked! How can you make excuses to not go to a gym when it's only 30 minutes?! The environment is amazing and we love that we could get a full body workout with a knowledgeable trainer. Such a great place to burn off stress and get a workout! Theresa- I have tried many gyms and it was hard to stay motivated. I was diagnosed with PTSD and needed a safe outlet. The trainers have been super supportive, this is a place I feel very safe and comfortable going to. I just love to kick and punch! Danielle- I have always hated the gym and working out and I would never push myself. I was looking for something fun and different to keep me motivated. When we joined 30 Minute Hit I found my challenge. I love setting personal goals and working to beat them. The environment here is incredible. I love that the trainers get to know you and know when to push you, they are also very helpful and modify skills as needed.
