Last night the 14 cadets from 5 corps across Ontario competed in a Build-a-boat challenge. The #CentralCAPCruise promises to be a fun and exciting week (April 12-16)! It will consist of a range of themed, asynchronous (on your own time) activities... that cadets can participate in from within their homes and local neighbourhoods. CAP provides a fun, challenging and meaningful experience for cadets above and beyond that received at the local corps or squadron level an experience you can’t get anywhere else!

Tonight is the night where Lion will be competing against 4 other Sea cadet corps in the virtual build-a-boat competition! Each cadet is to talk about their boats and what supplies they used. Each boat must float and move in water. Lion has teamed up with a corps from each area in Central Region to build boats. Each corps is running their own competition. The winner of each corps will compete on February 24th. The cadets will be marked on their Hull design, buoyancy, detailing, overall appearance and presentation. ... No 'Lion' Around ~Day 17~ We are getting close to the end of our virtual run!... Thank you to everyone who has been participating! Some of our Cadets have been busy out there making "Strava Art" POC1 Church took a beautiful picture of the escarpment on her walk home down the mountain and in another photo she got on the wrong bus and had to walk home. MS Baker has been busy making tool like shapes and animals. OS Jegeris and MS Jegeris made a Sailboat! They planned everything out before by drawing a map. After they arrived to the park, they mapped the ground by laying sticks out and once they were ready they walked and made such an awesome sailboat. Tonight, the cadets would enjoy a delicious meal, try to get into as much trouble as they can, only to be told by the Chiefs and PO's mess president and our acting CO (youngest cadet) to sing a Christmas song, perform a skit, and other things, ending the night with promotions and mess awards. Have you created your rainbow yet? Lion Cadets were challenged to create there own Rainbows of Optimism this week to go along with the start of our training year and to support the Covid 19 safety briefing we participated in. Cadets were asked to paint, colour or draw some rainbows and submit them by Sunday night so they can be included in a collage of rainbows made to celebrate our Corps....
