What a fantastic theme as we wrap up 2019 and head into 2020 to think about ways in which we can reimagine our business, our industry and the impact we'd like to leave through our efforts.... 42 days ago my phone rang and I answered the call. On the other line was Natalie Lowe and our conversation quickly turned to the issue of the climate crisis and the inaction we have noticed in our industry to move towards producing more sustainable events. Natalie and I have shared many similar conversations over the last few months since meeting each other, but this day was different- this was the day we decided that we wanted to have these conversations with other like ...minded professionals in our industry to educate, connect, be inspired and most importantly take action. On November 5th, 2019 we hosted @thesustainableeventsforum The Sustainable Events Forum a one-day event which saw our friends and industry professionals come together to discuss solutions for an environmentally sustainable events industry. Today I attended my first #climatestrike, joining millions around the globe for Global Climate Strike Day. I was joined by people of all ages, cultures and backgrounds walking together in solidarity for our planet, using our collective voices to send a message to our leaders that this is a #climatecrisis.
