MOST Team Continues to Evolve The St. Thomas Police Service Mobile Outreach Support Team would like to introduce their new clinician. Please join us in welcoming Karolina! Karolina joins our team to fill a void left after former clinician Yvonne moved on to a new opportunity last month. We look forward to a new and exciting chapter with Karolina and Brianne building upon the great success our CMHA response team has in support of vulnerable individuals in the community alon...g with Liaison Officer PC Jeremy Linker. This winter, the MOST team will be able to enhance their support to the vulnerable population by supplying some basic immediate needs in the form of gift cards and vouchers. The Team will supply gift cards in small denominations that will allow individuals to purchase food, basic medicine, personal care products, hand warmers or a hot cup of coffee. The team will decide when and in what amounts the cards are to be distributed on an individual at need basis. The funding to buy the supplies was made possible by an application made to the Civil Remedies Grant which makes the MOST team possible. Initially the money was budgeted for ongoing training however impacts of Covid 19 have resulted in the cancellation of several training opportunities leaving the team with a small surplus in their budget which they felt would best be used to support our most vulnerable who struggle to support themselves.
