It's with great pride I'm able to announce that I am officially certified as an ISSA Sports Nutrition Specialist. I've spent the last little bit of #GympocalypseNow working on this and got my official results back today! ... So what does this mean going forward? Will I be offering Nutritonal Services like meal plans, body compositions, check ins, etc.? For the foreseeable future (including when #Gympocalypse ends) I will not (although I'm not closing the door on that side fully, just need more education on that side of fitness before I branch out). The main reason I took this certification was to offer additional nutritional support to clients to maximize training and competition days in order to maximize each clients potential. This is why I chose the Sports Nutrition program instead of the conventional Nutrition program, direct carry over to my existing clients. I've used this downtime to improve my knowledge base and am ever preparing for the world to go back to normal. I look forward to being able to employ this knew knowledge once the world resumes normal functions. #ApocalypseGainz #KnowledgeGainz #knowledgeispower #398Strength #398Bro #nutrionalsupport #NutritionCoach See more

Why does training after a night out feel so hard? Our body produces a hormone called vasopressin (antidiuretic hormone or ADH) whose levels are increased during exercise to increase the amount of water reabsorbed by the kidneys, thereby decreasing water loss during exercise. Alcohol (and caffeine) have diuretic effects because they are inhibitors of ADH and therefore increase water output via the kidneys.... The best way to circumvent these effects is to not drink alcohol or caffeine. But if you are consuming alcohol or caffeine (as most everyone does at some point), ensure you're increasing your water consumption with it to still make the most of your training. #398Strength #398Bro #nutrition #alcohol #protip See more

@nikkipep_ stopped by the garage for a couple sessions last week, did some heavier work on the squat, axle bar deadlifts, and some pause benching. Nice to still be able to accommodate clients and training during #gympocalypse catch me chasing the #ApocalypseGainz #gympocalypsenow #398Strength #398Bro

All set up for the upcoming #ApocalypseGainz in my garage. I'll be offering drop in training and steeply discounted 1on1s and online programming during #covid_19 shutdown. Keep in mind this is my private residence and my private equipment so use at your own risk! Please remember that it's a small unheated garage and please please please respect the equipment, my home, and my health. If you're sick stay home! Message me if you want to train! #398Strength #398Bro #apocalypsenow

@nikkipep_ sent me this side by side of her benching before and after working with me. Form is a lot cleaner, bar path is more consistent, and doing more reps at the same weight. Great job Nikki! Keep up the hard work! #398Strength #398Bro #FormFirst #techniquematters
