Commercial Vehicles, headlight safety and maintenance Many trucking companies share a common problem....the deterioration of headlight lenses. The drivers vision is limited to, and dependent on , the clarity of the lens. Replacing the light assembly is expensive. As a result , many companies do not replace them until they fail completely. Even then they often replace only one (as seen in the pictures below) This practice is all too common.One would assume it is due to cost. ...I can provide a solution that will save the company money and make the vehicle safer to drive. Covering a newer lens with a crystal clear layer of (invisible) 3M ppf not only preserves the clarity of the lens but protects it from stones , salt , debris etc. The lens will look like new for many years. Nothing short of a blade can penetrate 3M pro series film. Older lenses can be restored and covered as well. Restored lenses do not last long unless a new layer of clear coat , or protective film is applied afterward to re-seal the exposed plastic lens.
