A Quick Update We have decided to postpone our 2021 online registration date to February 5, 2021. A lot of unknowns still with what the direction of hockey will look like moving into the spring. We hope this email finds you and your families well.... It is with disappointment that we announce the cancellation of Goderich 3on3 Spring Hockey for the 2020 season due to COVID-19 pandemic. In consultation with service providers and partners, the YMCA has made the difficult decision to remove the ice surface from Maitland Recreation Centre for the spring and summer months. During this extended closure they will be taking the opportunity to complete some preventative maintenance projects to ensure the space is ready to go for when we can safely open up for use. This is per the guidelines of the local and provincial health units. This unfortunately means the 3 on 3 ice times will be canceled for this season. REFUNDS: Refunds will be issued at 100%. Please reach out to us by email to [email protected] to confirm your refund. Refunds will be made by either Cheque or E-transfer. Refund Schedule: May 1- Sr. IP/ MINOR NOVICE May 2- Major Novice May 3- Atom May 4- Peewee May 5- Bantam 2021 Deferred Payment Option: If you are considering returning for the 2021 season and wish to defer your current payment, please notify us by email. We have been made aware that the OHF has some very strict guidelines on individuals who participate in a non-sanctioned tournament. The OHF can suspend any individual for the remainder of the season and the player can only apply for reinstatement after the end of the season. The last thing that 3 on 3 Goderich wants is for a player to be suspended by the OHF from their association because they played in a tournament that we hosted. ... All we wanted to do was provide for something fun for the youth to do. We had all the precautions in place to make sure that each player would be safe entering the arena, playing hockey, and exiting the arena. We have also been made aware through the grapevine that our tournament has been discussed at certain league offices. With all of the above information coming to the surface, we have decided to cancel the tournament to avoid any conflict with the OHF guidelines. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and we will be refunding all the teams that have paid us 100 percent. Hopefully, we can all get back to normal sooner than later so our kids can enjoy playing hockey in a normal environment. Yours in hockey Trevor & Matt

Please when you are emailing us your refund or deferral request please include your child's name, division of play, and team name in your email. We did specify this in our original post regarding the cancellation of our season. We had over 400 kids registered this year and by providing us with this information it will make it smoother for us. This is a very SAD day for us. We put a lot of work into organizing the league and to receive this news today is heartbreaking. Your c...hild's safety is our number one priority. Due to the COVID-19 and the current closure of the Maitland Recreation Centre we have decided to delay the start of our season to May 21, 2020. With the delay to the start of our season, we have decided to shorten our season from 8 weeks to 6 weeks. Our season will now end on June 28. We will be issuing each player a $25 rebate when you check-in at the registration table before your first game. We will be adjusting the schedule due to these changes and we will update everyone... via our website and Facebook page when the schedule has been adjusted. The health and safety of the players and hockey families will be our main priority as things continue to develop. We are hopeful that we can still have a season for everyone to enjoy.
